I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over 25 years of experience helping individuals, couples, and families rebuild trust, restore relationships, and find lasting emotional connection. I specialize in working with blended families, especially those navigating the complexities of court involvement, co-parenting, and family restructuring.
As a Reunification Therapy Specialist, I am committed to guiding families through the painful and often misunderstood process of restoring parent-child bonds after high-conflict divorce, estrangement, or legal disputes. I also serve as an Expert Witness within Florida's 6th Judicial Circuit, providing clinical insight in family court matters related to custody, visitation, and therapeutic intervention.
I understand how overwhelming life can feel when family dynamics break down. That's why my mission is to walk beside you-whether you're a parent, stepparent, or partner-helping you reconnect with your loved ones and with yourself. My role is to help bridge emotional gaps by teaching effective communication, deepening understanding, and creating safe space for healing.
As the founder and Clinical Director of Breaking Free Services, LLC, I bring not just clinical expertise, but also personal experience. I am a wife, mother of four, and stepmother of three. As part of a blended family, I know firsthand the effort it takes to "get it right." I understand the tightrope walk between family and career, love and loss, connection and isolation. Shari is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University with her Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling. She is the owner and founder of Breaking Free Services and serves as its Clinical Director. She is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Parent Coordinator, and a proud member of the American Association of Christian Counselors, the American Psychological Association, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the American Mental Health Counselors Association, and the Florida Mental Health Counselors Association. Most importantly, she serves with purpose-dedicated to honoring her faith in the Lord, nurturing her family, and fulfilling her calling to help others break free and live whole.
