Everyone faces hardships at some point in their life, and at times the hardships they may seem insurmountable and overwhelming to manage on our own. It can be difficult to navigate life when you’re experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, grief, or other major life transitions, especially without a strong support network. The most important thing, and one of the bravest things, one can do to take that first step toward healing and growth is to reach out for support.
In my approach to counseling I aim to be collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in person-centered therapy. I believe that each individual already holds unique strengths, resilience, and the capacity for change. My role is to walk alongside you as we uncover those strengths together. I prioritize creating a safe, supportive space where you feel genuinely heard, understood, and accepted. Also, when appropriate, the incorporation of humor in counseling sessions is a tool I utilize because healing doesn’t always have to feel heavy and can be a powerful instrument for growth and connection. My intention is to take a more holistic view of well-being, considering all aspects of life (emotional, physical, social, etc). Often I will integrate solution-focused strategies to help further clarify specific goals and aid in moving you toward the future you want to manifest.
I enjoy working with individuals of all ages, families, and other groups, and I configure each session to meet the unique needs of every client. My overall goal is to help foster self-awareness, build resilience, and support you in moving forward with greater clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
