Erin Iosa

I believe that seeking counseling is a courageous step, especially during seasons of transition or uncertainty. As a counselor, my goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted as they are. I bring a warm, relational style into my work and am intentional about creating an environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences at their own pace.

My clinical approach is grounded in Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy based theories, with a strong emphasis on collaboration and empowerment. I am especially drawn to working with adolescents and young adults as they navigate life transitions such as identity development, academic or career stress, relational challenges, and changes in family roles. I also enjoy working with couples, utilizing Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method to help partners strengthen connection, improve communication, and build healthier relationship patterns.

I have over ten years of experience working with students through youth ministry, which has shaped my ability to connect authentically with adolescents and young adults. This background allows me to meet clients where they are, build trust, and foster a nonjudgmental space for growth. I also have experience working with addiction-related concerns and enjoy helping clients create structure, routines, and practical strategies that support long-term stability and personal growth.  I am passionate about walking alongside clients as they build resilience, gain insight, and move toward lives that feel more balanced, connected, and intentional.

Erin is a Florida native and a master’s-level counseling intern at Asbury Theological Seminary, where she is completing the final step toward licensure. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of South Florida in 2010 and entered the counseling field as a second career, an experience that deepens her ability to support clients of all ages through meaningful life changes.
