Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern
You’re stuck. You aren’t sure how to move forward as you can’t even picture what that would be like for yourself. You’re hurting. From the past. Whether it is from a rough childhood or that one time you sat in your room wondering whether it’s all really worth it. You’re hurting. From the present. Whether it is a break-up or challenges at work. You’re worried. About the future. About feeling like yourself again. You’re in pain and just want to feel… Understood, heard, validated, and safe. You have your good days, but it seems like the bad are starting to outweigh the good. The way you normally handle your pain just isn’t working for you anymore. You’re at a place where you want to try something different. You’re at the place where you’d like to try coming in for therapy.
That decision alone shows your strength and determination to change. It shows that you are willing to invest in yourself. Maybe for the first time. I am here to support and empower you through this journey. Making sure you feel in control and heard is one of my biggest priorities in our work together. Together, we will create attainable goals to implement on your path to changing and improving your life. I take a person-centered approach to therapy. Which means, you are the expert in your life, and I will use my clinical knowledge to meet you where you are at and employ therapeutic interventions tailored for you.
I graduated from the University of South Florida’s Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling program. While deep in my studies, I found a passion for working with couples and families and attained a certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. I have worked with all ages from children to adults experiencing a wide array of issues including behavioral problems at school to wondering whether they want to remain in their marriage. It would be a pleasure to work with you, you and your significant other, or your child to begin to find hope and implement lasting change. I look forward to meeting you!
