Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern
I believe the most essential and powerful aspect of my approach with my clients is to make them feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. I am committed to meeting you where you are at and following your lead. It is my passion to help you achieve your goals and make changes in your life—whatever they may be! I will guide and support you throughout the process, and most importantly, I mold my techniques to fit with each individual person. When working with me, you will experience my warmth, humor, and genuine compassion and empathy in every one of our sessions together.
I graduated with a master’s degree in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida. While I was there, I also obtained a graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy, where a real passion for working with children, adolescents, and parents grew. In my previous experiences, I have worked with all ages and types of trauma. My specialty is working with adolescents, and I love working with parents to help them better understand and connect with their children. I primarily employ CBT techniques for all ages, and I incorporate tenets of play therapy and experiential theory when working with children. Most importantly, my techniques are person-centered and intended to create a safe space for healing. In our work together, I will help you realize your current strengths and utilize them to achieve your goals.
The nonjudgmental, therapeutic environment is a powerful thing, and it would be a pleasure to work with you or your child and provide the experience of feeling empowered and accepted. Remember that you and your family are worth investing in, and I am so excited that you are considering this next step toward growth!
