Bo is a graduate student intern working towards his Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). Additionally, he is enrolled in and taking classes at the University of South Florida (USF) in their Bachelor of Science American Sign Language (ASL) Interpretation program. After serving honorably in the U.S. Navy stationed aboard the USS Anzio (CG-68) as a Cryptologic Technician (Communications), he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from George Mason University in Fairfax, Virginia with Parks and Outdoor Recreation degree. He then worked at a county farm as a farmhand and educational interpreter for school aged children and adult patrons that would visit the farm wanting to understand farm life. From there, he then moved on to work at Mount Vernon – George Washington’s home near Alexandria, Virginia. I was there he served as a livestock handler working with hundreds of animals in training and welfare as well as educating public to the ways of life on farms during the 1700s. When Covid hit, he decided it was time to move on and pursue a long-term goal of working in mental health and psychological services by staring his masters. Moving to Florida started that process and now he is almost graduated. Bo has a passion for veterans, LGBTQ+, and the Deaf communities in helping with life transitions, day to day stresses, communication styles, wellbeing, anxiety, and depression.
