Graduate Practicum Intern
Are you the parent of a teen, or child that you often find yourself wondering what you can do to help them feel better? It seems like you’ve tried everything, but nothing seems to work, at least not for very long. Their personality has changed and sometimes you worry that it might get worse. Are you a young adult struggling to make it through the day, and fighting constant anxiety, frustration, or overwhelmed feelings about life’s daily struggles? Imagine what it would feel like not to constantly worry about your life and have the skill to handle challenges with self-compassion.
Many people see therapy as a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity for interaction or getting to experience each other as real people. I can promise you that I am as real as it gets! I want to help you or your teen achieve whatever solutions and life changes you are looking for while enjoying the process as much as possible and experiencing yourself in new ways. I don’t believe therapy has to always be a painful thing. Calling a therapist can be intimidating, but I hope you will take a moment (and maybe a deep breath) to call and see how I can help.
Life is too short to surrender to bad relationships, hold grudges, let trauma control us, or be anxious/angry all the time. I want you to be free of emotional pain, able to deal with life on life’s terms and to find meaning/purpose in work, family, friendships, spirituality, and all other areas of life. I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. At the end of the day, you deserve a life that leaves you excited to wake up in the morning. So, let me pour you a cup of tea or coffee, and let’s talk.
