Aundrea Sponsel is a native of the Tampa Bay area. She has worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for 9 years and decided to further her education, graduating from St. Petersburg College with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2012. Starting her career working on a psychiatric medical surgical unit and continued with seven years of varied bedside nursing experience to include medical intensive care and drug detoxification.
Aundrea completed a master’s degree with honors from South University. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society and Golden Key International Honor Society. She also belongs to the American Nurses Association (ANA), American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA), Florida Nurses Association (FNA), and National Black Nurses Association (NBNA). Aundrea is also completing a Mental Health nurse practitioner certification through Liberty University.
Aundrea came to us from an inpatient drug and mental health facility, where she provided psychiatric evaluations and managed medication. Her clinical practice focuses on consultation and treatment and she is enthusiastic to apply her experience and compassion with clients as they begin to address issues that will help them to improve their quality of life and attain a sense of fulfillment.
