Graduate Practicum Intern
Do you feel as though you are at a crossroad in life? Are you are facing life circumstances that seem unconquerable? Or maybe you are searching for balance and contentment in each of your life roles. It is common to feel overburdened by the challenges and transitions of life. The choice to seek guidance during your struggles is one of courage. As your counselor I will provide a supportive, nonjudgmental environment where you can feel safe to disclose your uncertainties, your fears, and other difficult emotions. I will work along side of you to explore your life experiences, to help you uncover your authentic self, and to flesh out your innate strengths so that you can endure life’s challenges in a healthy manner.
I believe that when one can find meaning and purpose in their past life experiences, they can be empowered to embrace contentment in the present moment. My approach to counseling is person-centered with an emphasis on empathy, trust, and collaboration. Through the integration of cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness interventions, and motivational interviewing techniques I will provide a therapeutic approach that is evidenced-based, practical, and tailored to your unique mental health needs.
